    Hi Mark,

    I am the developer and founder of Phyzixlabs Software (http://www.phyzixlabs.com). My company's platform is trying to address this specific issue. We use SVG and Javascript as the basis for building academic Sims, you can see examples here (http://colabopad.blogspot.com/).

    I will be at the Hack Day event, I would definitely like to talk to you and discuss your needs. Our platform is designed to facilitate learning by making the use of Sims more like consuming content as opposed to running software.

    I think what you are looking for is a whiteboard of sort? This is exactly the type of platform my company is developing, you can try it out on the site.
